I am currently looking to buy 1 gallon refills of Detail Spray and APC, and I was wondering what everyone suggests. I currently have Adam's for both, and although I don't have complaints about them, I was just wondering if there was a cheaper option out there that was just as good.

I have heard that the CG V7 is the hot ticket, but it is just about the same price as Adam's.

I looked at CG and they have like 5 different APC's that are all pretty cheap, but I didn't know if there was any real feedback on them?

I have read good things about the All Clean, but I don't know what the difference is between All Clean and All Clean +?

BTW I don't mind paying for the better product, but I don't want to overpay for something when there is better our there or cheaper for the same quality.

For this stuff, I keep coming back to Poorboy's - Bio APC and S&W. Just great stuff.

TONS of great products out there, though. Optimum keeps tempting me on both as well.

I like Adam's APC but I just ordered a gallon of Meg's Detailer's APC. It has good reviews so I'll have to let you know.
So far with detail spray I have used Meg's and Turtle wax ICE from the shelf and I like both. Turtle's ICE spray wax with their detailer looks great IMO!

BTW the detail spray will be used for claying, helping when drying the vehicle, and for "refreshing" the pad when polishing...I really won't use it much as a true detail spray

For an APC, my favorite is Optimum Power Clean, this stuff never ceases to amaze me with it's ability, even when diluted. For a detail spray, I'd have to go with ONR for claying/cleaning, and BF Midnight Sun Instant Retailer for after regular washes. The BF smells awesome, is super easy to work with, and leaves a nice 'nuba glow afterwards.

It depends for what. For interiors and wheels I like CG NONSENsE. For tires, engines and trim I like Adam's, but CG All Clean+ also does a nice job on that stuff.

I like CG All Clean for an APC. For a detail spray I prefer the CG Synthetic detail spray but FK 425 is a very close second.

Which ALL CLEAN are you guys using? The All Clean or the All Clean +...because there is a decent price difference between the two?

Wash and shine has the tendency to stain your wash media. The newer formula doesnt do that, plus smells better (not that earlier one was any bad) and gives you added protection all at the same time.

For an APC, Id stick with Megs just cause its vfm. Someone had also posted a thread here a few days back where he has used D-limonene compounds as an Apc. They perform even better and smell good too. Perhaps a thread search should help out.

I agree with you regarding ICE spray wax. Every one makes fun of Turtle wax stuff, but this product seems to do a better job than all of the fancy names out there. Slick and long lasting and inexpensive off the shelf, no shipping charges. Just really worth the money.:iagree:

So wash and shine and Wash and Wax are basically the same but one is the newer formula?

Yes. The newer one contains wax. And it works. I QD'ed my bike before visiting the service center. As usual there will be grease all over. All that went off with just a wipe. And I had no protection on the bike till then. So it does work.

All Clean + is concentrated and a better value, thats the one I use

There are a couple products from TW that just seem to work. The Ice detail spray, spray wax and paste wax are some that come to mind.

I'm using a Zep citrus based apc currently, and it's doing the job. Once it runs out, I'll probably try one from one of the more known manufacturs.

My favorite detail spray is Megs #34. Because it works, is locally available, and because I've used it as a detailer and clay lube for fifteen years!

Basically it is down to Chemical Guys Synthtic DS, Optimum Wash and Wax, or Ultima WW + concentrate
