What is your favorite MF towels?

Further, my only advice is when buying plush towels many of them are two-colored, meaning that they are two pieces sewn together which makes for slipping and sliding when in use unless folded into fours.

good info here.

now that i'm getting into the higher end correction jobs, i've been looking into better quality towels but was always baffled at where to start.

this thread is a perfect start, so thank you OP!

I bought a 3 pack of these Shine & Buff Waterless Wash Towel and they are really nice. But, at $8 each, they are a bit expensive to buy a qauntity of. I have some of the 14x14 Eagle Edgeless 480 and the Everest 800, which I use for waterless & rinseless washings.

Microfiber Madness - The Best but $$$

Yellow Kirkland from Costco

Yes, I am serious

I use them for everything except final polish

They do degrade faster than higher priced MF, but I just downgrade them to less sensitive tasks

$18 for 36 16 x 16" towels

If you don't have a Membership, have a Friend buy you a $20 Gift Card and you can shop there yourself, if you go over the $20; you just pay the rest in cash or credit
I agree those are great.

After trying a lot (including Cobra Gold Plush, RAG CO Eagle Edgeless Blue), my favorite MF (for what you use it for) is Microfiber Madness. They're expensive, but "cheaper" than using inferior products that would more likely induce swirls/scratches on prized finish.

Adams Double Soft...I use them mostly with detail spray after rinseless/waterless washes. Pricey, but simply a great towel.

These are the best multi-purpose microfiber towels I have ever used.
I cannot say enough good things about them.
Typically are a pack of 15 for $12.00 at Wal-Mart.
There is a current sale of 30 per pack for $16.00.

Meh those are like 85/15 blend if I recall correctly. Kirkland ones are 80/20 and 36 towels for $15

Like title said,

What is your favorite MF towels in general, such as buffing off wax, QD, spray wax application?

This topic was tried out earlier and will very quickly take you to products that aren't offer by AG (and should if this was an open forum because there are some great products out there). However, you can see the fate of that thread yourself and the reason for it. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it (doesn't matter if I did). It's just something to keep in mind as this thread progresses.

That being said, my main towels are a good quality 360 microfiber with a high and low pile side for general use and a 530 microfiber with high and low pile side for removing product that's used to remove contaminants.

AG has a pretty good comparison chart you can use to see what they have available and what they work best for.

Stupid question but what's the purpose for towels having 1 high nap side and the other side being low nap?

I've always preferred towels with both sides being equal. But I'm interested to know what the real purpose is for having 2 different sides.

High nap is good for dirty surfaces. All the dirt is trapped deeper in the towel and away from paint. Low nap is good for buffing clean surfaces and removing excess product. So a good example is a waterless wash. Initial wipe with high nap side then buff dry with low nap side.

You all had me convinced to buy some Eagle Edgeless, but I noticed that they look exactly like my towels from gloss-it.net, which I'm not happy with. They feel super soft but shed everywhere and feel like they drag when saturated with quick detailer. Maybe they just look the same but aren't?
