What is your favorite tire dressing applicator?

In the market for new applicator for spray on tire shine. Any suggestions?

I use Eagle One tire applicators. Their like $2 bucks for a pair, freaking last forever. They come in a nice zip resealable bag you can store them in. I use them to apply Pinnacle Black Onyx.

I use this one and like it a lot

If I am using something like Car-Pro Pearl I use an automotive paint spray gun. Shoots it into the letters with ease.

Haha! Yeah man Eagle One makes great products, they fly under the radar on most detail forums. Since they are curb shaped sometimes applying at the very bottom of the tire is a little tricky. I like that Adams design because it has that handle that IMO looks easier to control product application.

I was going to go with these:

tire foam applicators, tire swipe

But cheaped out and went with these:

TUF SHINE Pro Series Applicator Sponge

I gotta say, simple design but I like them alot. BTW I use Tire Gels mainly not sprays so I cannot comment on how they work with the sprays.

I don't know how I feel about the curved ones. I feel that they might not fit my tires very well so I went with the flat surface ones.

I like that Adams design

Now that is surprising :nomore:

It does have a problem with sometime putting dressing on the wheel, but that's quickly wiped off.

Overall it is my favorite applicator for tire dressing. Way better than the foam one AG sells unfortunately.

No more foam applicators for me. I hate cleaning them and they get nasty. I use these for Tuff Shine and regular dressing:

The bristles are nylon I believe. They clean easily and well.

Heh like all products they all have both pros and cons. Eagle One is actually owned by Valvoline.

CM8, seems like curve would make it easier to do bottom of tire. Not so?

Maybe for larger tires, for lower profile tires the sidewall is obviously smaller. Once you get to the bottom portion of the tire, your applicator is making contact with the tire but as your moving closer to the most bottom portion of the tire, you have to adjust your applicator horizontally so it doesnt touch the ground.

It sounds more complicated than it seems. Its not even enough to be considered a flaw trust me, but something to take note. The curb design does allow you to apply any product evenly.

They last me a very long time (4-5 months), and when they get dirty I just buy another pair for $2.

I prefer the kind ihaveacamaro posted. UTTG came with one however I don't think AG sells them individually.

The Eagle 1 style work well if you cut them with a razor to the height if the tire. The guy in the video looks like he is dressing half sidewall and half tread.

Yeah it does. However when using a spray product, your only spraying it on the sidewall and spreading it out with the applicator. Even if your using a gel product, its very hard to get it on the threads.

I did not like the design of that product when it came out but I might have to give it a second chance. I thought that if you put the gel on the face it will sink down and get lost in the bristles?
