What is your favorite tire dressing applicator?

One day I was looking for my dressing applicator and couldn't find it. I found a black 4 inch Lake country finishing pad, it was nice and dense. It absorbed product nicely and was a perfect size. Ive been using it for about 4 months and no signs of wear, I clean it every few applications with snappy pad cleaner.

I bought some from another site and they are notched so they're easy to use. Favorite ones so far.

I really like the Flex Foam applicators. They work very well with sprays and gels, and I can tell that they're made well enough to last a long time.

I've had good luck with the tire swipes from Target, and it seems like I've used Eagle One's version before IIRC. Both were cheap, but lasted a very long time.

I use the eagle one tire applicators as well. Picked some up last week. They work well and the price is right.

I did not like the design of that product when it came out but I might have to give it a second chance. I thought that if you put the gel on the face it will sink down and get lost in the bristles?

Or you could say, you put dressing on the foam and it gets absorbed by the foam.?? They work well, I don't have that problem.

No more foam applicators for me. I hate cleaning them and they get nasty. I use these for Tuff Shine and regular dressing:

The bristles are nylon I believe. They clean easily and well.

:iagree:

I picked up a couple last summer and they're great! I like the way the bristles retract if you need something stiffer...:props:

Swanic. You are right, you can say the same thing about foam! I guess there are many good ways to get the job done.:xyxthumbs:

I bought this years ago and find it incredibly easy & efficient to use, it works like a suicide knob on a steering wheel ..... oh God, I'm dating myself.

Grab the yellow knob, position the curved applicator on the sidewall and round & round you go. Do all 4 tires and then move the car so you can get to the small portion of the sidewall that you missed.

Quick & easy to replace the microfiber pads and the sponge backer guarantees the dressing gets distributed evenly reducing the possibility of sling.

I was going to go with these:

tire foam applicators, tire swipe

But cheaped out and went with these:

TUF SHINE Pro Series Applicator Sponge

I gotta say, simple design but I like them alot. BTW I use Tire Gels mainly not sprays so I cannot comment on how they work with the sprays.

I don't know how I feel about the curved ones. I feel that they might not fit my tires very well so I went with the flat surface ones.
Agree with the Tuff Shine applicator. It is smaller than most but offers superb control

So far I really like mine and I even like the smaller size. Very good control as you said. And the price was right!:xyxthumbs:

tried the Eagle One brand today. Like the curved shape, makes it easier to get close to rim without getting product on rim.

They are very durable too!

So true! I'm a bit over the top but I use foam pad cleaner on my Tuf Shine applicator after each use. It certainly wont ever be bright orange anymore but the cleaner gets out all the nastyness and so far the applicator has really held up.:xyxthumbs:

Did a great job for me just today applying two coats Opti-Bond undiluted.

I got the same one different color and it is the best I found and it also keeps your hands clean and uses very little product.
