what is your favorite trim product ?

I am liking Wolf Chemicals Trim and Tire at the moment
I ahve PB TR but I think I may need to "learn" the proper way to apply this, it doesn't seem to last at all for me. Also have some Black WOW I need to try

I absolutely LOVE Ultima Trim and Tire Guard. You wouldn't believe how white and faded some window cowls were that I have done and now they look brand new. I applied some to my faded window cowl 6 months ago and it started getting lighter in the last month. So I just applied more. Also, a little goes a long way.
I've used it on about 20 cars so far and have half a bottle left.

For Customer detail's = UTTG
For personal vehicles or if customer will pay for it = C4

how do you guys apply uttg ? Maybe i did something wrong :S ?

For tight areas, makeup wedges are awesome

Amazon.com: Wonder Wedge Cosmetic Wedges #1001 32 Count: Beauty

I used to cut up sponges till I found those guys.

I'll give this a shot! I'm still able to get the desired results with both the Ultima applicator and foam brushes, it's just a matter of how much clean up I have to do afterwards that becomes the issue.

If I can apply and walk away with these little guys, I'll be a very happy detailer:buffing:

Man thought we would've had more supporters for UTTG and WETS but looks like a nice large group of you are in the Poorboys camp.

I haven't used the Poorboys product but might try it now. But I have used UTTG and WETS and I find them to be excellent. Hell I even UTTGed my shoes!

hey guys

i need something to use for all my exterior trim. It rains often where i leave so i need something that wont stain my paint when it gets in contact with water. Something that will restore faded plastic and give it a nice original look..

thanks!

Ahh, makeup sponges sound like a good density for UTTG! Consider my wifes purse raided Im the MAN. Have you used them with UTTG? I'm assuming they don't absorb the product to badly? I love the UTTG applicator for UTTG but in those tiny areas this is great. Thanks for the idea!

I like to use my old polishing pads that are dead to make tire and trim applicators. Cut them into pie slices and the point works amazing under tight areas and the lip of the rim. Unfortunately the HT pads seem to absorb my UTTG and not work so hot :(. They work awesome for perl 1:1 on tires though.

Thanks Bob, Looks like I'm going to have to try this out. Are you affiliated with them?

Edit: Just took a look, is this any different than the spray on dye products you buy OTC?

1.) No affiliation whatsoever.

Whence came my knowledge of this product?
I used this on a friend's Avalanche (per: GM's warranty agreement). Since that initial introduction, I've also used it on non-Gm vehicles (especially the aerosol version) with great success.

2.) Very, very different (not a dye)...This is the only OEM approved, permanent fix for GM vehicles' textured/cladded "plastic trim", with its success now being recognized by other OEM's.

GM TSB#: 04-08-111-001 E

Note:
I only use this on what the OP referred to as "faded plastic trim"...no need for it on well-maintained from the get-go "plastic trim"...only when/after Mother Nature has taken her dues.

That was a good one....I was  for a moment...But, man-oh-man, am I ever so glad I didn't include his phone no.! :D

There does seem to be a lot of industrious men named Robert nowadays....{I probably can't be included in that lot, though :(}

Hey Corey...

The only other product I've used is their Textured Plastic Cleaner (used in conjunction with their TPCoating)

I agree they have a few products that sound very interesting....some even have crystalline silica (quartz) as an ingredient...
