It doesn't scratch? Isn't it basically made of the same stuff that those cheap car wash sponges at the dollar store are made of?

Doesn't scratch or Marr one bit.I get all my eggcrates from a Mercedes dealer.Been using that for years from Hondas to Ferrari. The best part is that it has multiple uses besides washing, I can cut up some and use it for wax applicators or conditioning the interior cost me zero.

This thread is the best place to ask as any. Ive been looking at getting a 2nd wash mit on Amazon. I already have 1 of the Chemical Guys wash mits. Is there really an appreciable difference in microfiber mits like the CG ones or the one linked above and some of the ones available at say Walmart?

The one at Walmart fray and cheap don't even waste your money on that.Been there done that total garbage.

I've been very happy with my Meguiar's MF wash mitt. Wish the cuff was made of softer material. I should just fold the cuff in, I use it more as a wash pad anyways.

Would like to try Gyeon's wash mitt. I have a hard time spending $25 on a mitt. I'm sure it is worth it.

My fave is the Red jumbo wash pad. AG doesn't list it separately but it comes with a few items including the > 5 Gallon Wash Bucket Washboard Kit.

I got it free with my Christmas order. I like the chenille mitts but cut off the cuff and tear out the crappy liner. I never stick my hands in them.

The chenille wash pad origin appears to be from Griots and is big and sloppy the way I like em.

I use lambswool, and one mitt per panel. I've bought alot of them so have plenty on had, they have been through countless washes as well without ever coming apart.

I am currently using MF "noodle style" mitt's like these.. Supreme Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt, microfiber wash mitt, washing mitt

However.... I actually prefer the feel and wash of wool/synthetic wool mitts.

I kept getting wash swirls when I used the wool pads, and one of my "suspicions" was particles were getting trapped in the fibers that I couldn't easily see/feel, hence why I went the above. It is easy to see when there is particles in the fibers.
