So you want more light for doing interiors? I would look at adding additional lights on the walls then that you turn on when you need them. It'll be difficult to mimic that aspect of the daylight outside.
Get some basic T8's, then LOTS of spotlight CFL/LEDs with CRI80+ 5K 800+Lumen ratings. You'd be surprised how good these new bulbs work out compared to wiring T8s all over the shop.
