I'm not sure how abrasive a moose tongue is, but it couldn't be any worse than an automated car wash.

That would make for a great story.

Q: What happened to this car? You take it through the automated car wash all winter?
A: No, but we did have this one incident with a moose on one of our trips into the woods...
