Recently I got a package in the mail for Meguiars products in bulk and two orange pads were thrown in with my order for free. There is no branding on them and feel pretty firm (kind of similar to my other LC orange pads). Can anyone identify these pads for me?

Is the foam really firm. Kinda looks like a buff n shine pad. I'm guessing a custom off/ private made pad.

ADS sells Buff & Shine pads without the recessed Velcro of normal B&S pads. It looks like the ones sold by ADS.

They look like foam pads....to be honest I want to try those microfiber pads I really don't know if they are better or not

They look like buff and shine pads but I don't think any of my buff and shine pads have black velcro

The foam IMO is as firm, or even slightly firmer, than my LC orange pads. The thing that makes me think that these are not Buff and Shine pads is how the black backing extends out to the edges of the pads. Looking at pictures on the Buff and Shine website, the black backing does not go to the edges of the pad.

I'll be sending the company an email Monday morning asking what brand these are. Thank you everyone for your replies

They look a lot like the pads sold through Griots.....

As stated in post #5 ADS sells B&S 5.5" pads that have Velcro covering the entire back-- the Velcro is not recessed like the standard B&S pads.

- I don't think it's a B n S, TCP, Griot's, EBay, or Chinese pad for the simple reason that almost all of those foam pads I've seen use white Velcro for the backing. We know it's not a Meg's, Rupes, or Cyclo pad.

- LC seems to be one of the only (the only?) manufacturer that uses black Velcro for foam pads about this size.

- it's not a standard LC "flat pad" because those are sort of beveled on the edges.

- it looks like a LC CCS style pad that never had the dimples cut into it. Maybe they were "blems" and never made it to the dimpling stage - that's why you got some freebies? Maybe the foam density was noticed to be "off", that's why they feel different?

could be pads by American Buffing Company, Inc. sometimes depending on the retailer they may extend the velcro to the edge...

Here is what the company wrote back. Turns out they are LC pads, but in a low profile
