My only suggestion would be putting on a second layer of your LSP. I found that when I did this (using a DA) it kinda buffed away anything I missed with my microfibre AND most likely filled in anywhere I had missed (it really did just seem to look nicer, but that's probably because my technique is horrible and this was my first time with a DA).

If it wipes of easily and looks great afterwards you didn't do anything wrong. I've noticed this on black with products with carnuba, especially since its been super hot and humid. But once the wax settles after the first wash it fades.
 
Isn't that BMW jet black the one that is really soft that people say you can mar it with the wrong MF towel? I remember tdekany doing one, and he said it was so mar-prone, that he didn't even wipe his polish residue off, he just polished over it with the next step, if I'm remembering that right.

Instead of leaving residue on and risking buffing on top of who knows what that's been abraded off or loosened off and now resides in the residue, what I do for stupid-soft paints machine apply a one-step cleaner/wax for the last step.

Something like ColorX has worked well or better yet, M20 Polymer Sealant. You want something that dries with a thin coat. After it dries, carefully wipe off the residue. The wax acts as a "dry lubricant" and if you take little bites or swipe of wax of at a time like I show in this video you won't re-mar the paint.

PLUS you will now have a layer of protection on the surface and it will be very clear and slick. You can stop after this or top using your favorite non-cleaning LSP.
