What motor oil do you all use for your personal vehicles?

Castrol SLX LL-04 here...and I'd rather change often, once a year minimum regardless if I drove enough km's for it or not.

I said i used MOTUL well i just got 2-1gal Jugs in the mail of Bio-Synthetic SHP SAE 5W40 HD Motor Oil...it is oil that is specially formulated and mixed for the VW/Audi FSI moters....

Terry Dyson one of the formost experts in oil help formulate this w/ a guy that owns a new RS4...FSI moters have a big fuel dilution problem and this helps this sooo much...

Renewable Lubricant, Inc. (Not on there site but the basic super high performance racing oil is what its somewhat based off of...)

F350 15w-40w changed every 5k
Maxima 10w-30w Havoline changed every 3k
Thunderbird 5w-30w during winter storage 15w-40w during summer changed every season

Can you get 10W60? It costs me about $10 a quart.....

Yea, 7 quarts....... And it also burns about close to 1 quart every 5000 miles

I'm in need of another oil change. Since I have owned my car I have done the oil changes and have used nothing other than Mobile 1. The resources I have to do my own oil changes have scare sly diminished. I was thinking of taking it to the tire place around the corner (which I do trust) and letting them do it. Also while they have they can top off any other fluids and give the car a check. I know they don't use mobile 1, but should I just go ahead and let them do it or should I do it myself continuing to use Mobile 1? Am I just being to OC?

Mike T some places will let you bring your own oil. Ask them it can't hurt.

Most of the places that I would go to, I already called and they wouldn't do it.

Mobile 1 10W-30 synthetic every 3000 on my WRX, sometimes I switch to 5W-30 for the winter...
