I know I can be way more focused into detailing while I'm tuned out with headphones. But what really gets me going is some old rock while I detail. Stone Temple Pilots, Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains, Zepplin, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Toadies and lots more.

Also love some upbeat sublime type songs. Sublime, 311, Rebelution, Iration, Tribal Seeds, Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, Bob Marley, Incubus, Slightly Stoopid.

What do you detail to?

Classical opera lol, i normally listen to random pandora stations.

Godsmack, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, etc.

I also find books on tape to be good during long polishing sessions. I have some good sales & leadership ones that are always good to review from time to time. There is no other time I would usually listen to those and be able to focus on them much. I don't listen straight through. Usually a chapter or two then back to the music while I contemplate the message and to keep from getting too bored.

Awesome. I also enjoy listening to instrumentals. Helps me zone into my work. Never thought about a lecture or Ebooks I wouldn't mind refining my Spanish with Rosetta stone. :)

I use Pandora.

Dawes - a lot like Jackson Browne
Turnpike Troubadours - great modern country band

and a lot of others. I like the relaxing music while I detail. Maybe some Jimmy Buffett and Beach Boys in there too. :xyxthumbs:

95% rap...5% hard rock

I don't know why but the rap helps me get in "my zone" and work better.
