What pads for Flex PE-14?

Looking to buy some tonight beforre the sale is over. It appears LC Smartpads are more for a DA? Was looking at the Kompressor pads........anything else good for a rotary?

Can't go wrong with the LC Kompressor pads for your Flex rotary.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks for the help. Strange thing is smaller backing plates are offered - 3 3/4 and 5" but very few pads to match those sizes other than Meguiar's.......lotta 7, 7.5 and 8 inch pads.......like to use a smaller pads for license plate area, etc.

3 3/4" bp and 4" pads are great for tight areas, mirrors, A pillars, polishing glass and polishing headlights.

i dont go over 6.5in pads on a rotary

I use 6 1/2" Kompressor pads on my Flex PE-14 and Makita 9227. rops:

Why is that? I have seen others say that too. For what reason is bigger not better when using a rotary........less control, more dangerous, etc.?????
