Hey guys, I'm trying to get expert opinions of which sealant work the longest amount of time. I bought some souveran but I want the longevity of a sealant before I put it on.

Feed back please

I have no experience of all of them, yet. But as i've read here. It would be: Klasse, Collinite then DG.

Others who have experienced all of them will surely drop their thoughts. :)

DG 105 especially if you precede it with DG 601.

Out of my limited sealant experience. Longest life to shortest:

Klasse
Four Star UPP
Wolfgang/Blackfire
Jetseal 109/Opti-Seal

I left out Collinite 845 because I'm really unsure as to what it actually is. Menzerna Power Lock left out as well because I've yet to find it's limit. Believe we're right at 3 months on the chosen test car and it still sheds water very well.

Thread jack...I love Klasse on my door jambs (Thanks Tad)... End thread jack.
I just tried Klasse on an entire car for the first time yesterday. If you get Klasse remember to look up application method on AG forum.
Ultima Paint Guard might not be the most durable but it is definetly up there. It will last longer then 9 months on a garaged vehicle that gets washed every other week. I think at about 6 months there may be a difference in the beading but not much. On the other hand UPGP is so easy to apply there is no reason to wait if you want to reapply anytime.

Yesterday I meant to do a 50/50 Klasse SG/Colli 845 but I left the 845 inside and didn't feel like going back for it as it was getting later in the day.

What about DP Poli Coat? Is this one too new to know how long it lasts? I heard Klasse is tricky and that Poli-Coat is very easy to use.

p.s. I'm a newb here so just tryin to learn.

:iagree:

Don't let it dry like I did. PITA to remove.

Welcome to AG.

DP Poli-Coat is pretty new, but I've been testing it out on my wife's DD (parked outside 24/7) and it's still showing strong beading after six weeks (five washes).

A regular wax can do Six weeks easily. Testing will need to be done in the 4-6 month ranges for it to even get decent durability. So realistically there shouldnt be anybody that can recommend DP poli-coat or Mens PL because of their recent release.

I would recommend DG601/105 or FK 1000P, also collinite if you want to add Hybrids. Zaino has a long standing in durability of most sealants out there. No personal experience with Zaino though.

Two coats of WGDPS worked for me for 5 months (consider climate here in Texas during winter months, also my daily driver is garage kept) this past winter and a part of spring. I'll be doing a full detail on her in a couple of weeks.
