What PPE do you use when detailing?

What PPE (personal protective equipment) do you use when detailing? I use ear plugs or muffs when using the polisher and vacuum. I'm thinking about using a dust mask when polishing, and glasses might be a good idea too. Just curious.
 
I wear safety glasses and usually wear rubber gloves. The gloves is more for comfort, as I dont like the feeling of waxes and MF towels on my hands. Eyes arent cheap these days, so I like to protect them when I see fit.
 
I use a 3M respirator mask when polishing. Got it for about 23$
 
since i don't detail all the time i don't use a mask. i wear any shirt without a zipper, thought of this part way through my first DA exp. most importantly are the bluetooth earmuff style headphones that block out the DA noise and keep the music going without wires to deal with.
 
I wear nitrile gloves when I work with chemicals, and mechanixwear gloves when I am using the polisher. I wear a mask when working with strong wheel cleaners or other harsh chemicals, and I wear earmuffs when working with the vacuum.
 
Ipod and thats about it. I do not use any chemicals that are MSDS stated to be more than a 1 on the health hazard scale so there isn't much to worry about.
 


I use a 3M dust mask. There is dust that you may not see, but it is there. I don't like the way the dust feels inside my nose, & it could potentially be bad for your health, as once inside your nose or lungs, it will then get into the bloodstream.






 
3M professional respirator. Most detailing chemicals are pretty harsh on your lungs.
 
No chance of me using a respirator, frankly. Detailing in humid 80-90 degree weather is bad enough already without a mask to make the air I'm breathing 10x worse!

I mostly detail outside in Florida. You do what you need to do. Or you pay the consequences later.

... humid 80-90 degree weather. That's a cool summer day for us. It's been 80+ all week and we're not out of April yet.
