What really grinds your gears

Whats the one thing that ticks you off.

For me is when I spend my weekend detailing my car you know put that extra love and care into it so when Monday come it will still look clean when I drive to work. Then I'll be on the freeway and start hearing ticks and cracking on my windshield and come to find a dump truck hauling gravel a good distance from me in a different lane letting gravel just fly off his truck when knowing they need to cover the gravel with the net they have on the truck when they're loaded and I'm the one that suffers the consequences by getting a crack windshield and I'm sure other cars suffer too cause we can't dodge them or else everyone would be criss crossing on the freeway so they won't get hit. Sorry it's long but I just needed to get that out my chest.

Parking in my heated garage, only to find a pile of rust in the morning

Applying 5ml of Permanent coating to my SUV and then having to grind all 6 microns of it off with an angle grinder
 
sometimes there are things we have no control of and things will happen to our cars no matter how careful we are. one thing that i don't care for is inconsiderate people who have no respect for other's property. i have some neighbors who play basketball and frisbee who have the whole other end of the street to do so with no cars around but will do it on the other side where there are cars. i've seen them throw the frisbee and hit a car but don't say anything because i don't want to create conflict. some people just don't have common sense these days knowing right from wrong i guess. oh yeah another thing, when there are 4+ cars to one home who always take up spots in front of your house and have people always over parking/crowding the street like they own it...
 
I think perhaps more often than people give you credit for.
 
What grinds my gears? When I can't find the correct syntax for an expression I'd like to just type out.
 
When I am driving behind someone who clearly has not washed their vehicle in months but they decide that they need to use loads of windshield washer fluid to clean their windshield thus wetting my clean car that I keep garaged and only drive when it is not raining.
 
:mad: YEP. The crap they put on the roads for the winter. I HATE CHIPS/CRACKS IN MY WINDSHIELD!! I know my insurance covers full replacement, but still, makes me mad.
 
Living in the NorthEast, the upcoming winter reeks havoc on my daily drivers. Right now the weather will vary that is it next to impossible to predict when and if I can clean a car. Brine solution (while better than salt in the past) is difficult to remove.

As an aside, I hate seeing a car displaying a "mobile detailing" sign that is swirled beyond belief.
 
LOL one of the mobile detailing and PDR guys around here drives an awful beater Ford Ranger with his logo on the yellowing, cracked cap. What the....?
 
Yea thats the thing. You cant put em in a bubble. A daily driver, no matter how well taken care of is just that. A daily driver. It is bombarded by daily abuse. So unless it's a garage queen, we just gotta deal with it.
 
Comeing out to my brand new car on lunch break and finding a small ding on it above the wheel really ticked me off

I think most of us know that feeling all too well.

How bout when you park in the very back of the parking lot, miles away from everyone else, and you come back to your car with some jack hole parked right on top of you despite the fact there's a million empty spots to choose from :bash:
 
Oh and since it was just fall in New England you have landscapers on every block blowing leaves into the street and directly at my truck. I try to stop and make eye contact and hope that they pause for just a second so I can pass but they don't care. So I stomp on the gas and get out of there as fast as I can!!
 
Oh one more then I'm done!

The moron barely doing the speed limit in the fast lane. Cars backed up for days behind him. Finally moves over to let people pass but then he guns it to 90 mph!!! :bash::bash::bash:

That grinds my gears so bad!!!!! Ok I feel better now :D
