Looking for a long lasting sealant, up to 12 mos. Was thinking of PBL diamond sealant.

Finish Kare 1000p--2 coats 48 hours apart -- may get you to 12 months depending on conditions.

Depending on all of the different
"conditions" the vehicle will be facing
over a year's time period...finding a
Sealant that will last 12 months is,
quite honestly, a tall order to fill.

However...
I'm inspired to suggest:
Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax, high melt polymer car wax, Finish care auto wax

After all:
FK 1000P Hi-Temp is formulated using a
hi-tech, German-inspired, synthetic formula.

And, IMO:
That means that FK-1000P has just as much,
(if not more), of a chance meeting your 12
month requisite as any other Sealant currently
on the market.

Just think:
All that, and a bag of chips, for under $20.00!!

Dr Beasleys Plasmacoat is supposed to last over a year. Give it a shot. I just bought it and probably apply it when the outside weather gets better here (its brutal now) in late Sept/Early Oct. The application looks very easy. Unfortunately I cannot vouch for its durability at this point but it looked promising and compelling for me to buy one and try :)

If you want a year of protection, I'd do 2 or 3 coats (which is what I am planning to do) and then maybe another one in the middle of the 1 year cycle just for insurance.

There are quite a few reviews testifying to the product's durability (google it).

Traditional sealants will probably last you 4-6 months average. If you want more, gotta try something new. Obviously you can lean towards the ceramic glass coatings that can last well over a year.

Another thing I liked about Dr Beasley's products is they are eco friendly and doesn't use harsh chemicals and it was compelling enough for me to give it a try.

Any good brand will be fine. Your pick if PBL is a good one. Look at Menzerna or Blackfire or Wolfgang. But to last over a year is a tall order. Maybe 6 months.

If you apply post wash boosters like D156 or similar products you can make a super sealant last almost indefinitely.

DG 105/601 or 111/601 might get you close, depending on different variables (which will be the case with any sealant).

I totally agree, but I'd also be willing to bet you can make some not-so-great ones last a really long time too with a quality spray wax.

This summer I've been using Blackfire Wet Diamond Polymer Spray sealant as my topper and drying aid. One vehicle has a coat of 845, the other a coating of Griots One Step Sealant. The 845 still going strong with my current combo shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, but I'm still getting decent protection evidence from the Griots/Blackfire combo too roughly 5 months after the Griots was applied. Left on it's own, the last time I used the Griots product I only saw 6~8 weeks of protection.

I applied PBL on my black 2015 Z06 that has been custom painted black (long story involves road rash from construction zone) and it looks like a shiny pool of squid ink. Polished the clear with the Rupes and Wolfgang DA polish first. Man does this stuff go on easy and remove easy with a beautiful shine.

Do not know how long it will last and that is not important to me because of my detailing schedule lol---I do it for protection and also layer carnauba over it. Know it is one of the best looking sealer only shines I have used.

Gyeon can coat and wetcoat. For 70.00 the best user friendly durable combo.wetcoat is a liquid spray to be used in conjunction with a hose.I like to raise the bar on simplicity.I used the wetcoat as a spraywax on 4 vehicles with zero promblems and they didn't have any wax or sealant on them. The water sheds like you wouldn't believe after a 10 minute go around with wetcoat only. Can coat once and wipe it down with wetcoat or use when washing either way nice stuff.

Personally.... I'm a huge fan of the Jescar Power Lock + Sealant. It goes on by DA super fast, and leaves a super slick and shiny finish when wiped off. Customers love it, and its proven very durable. Have it running several months strong on a few of my clients vehicles and it looks like I just installed it. CG Jet seal doesn't have the durability, and neither do most spray on's that I've tried. I guess it depends on what your customer wants... a monthly top-off type of product, or something you can "set it and forget it" for a few months at a time no problem.

Sonax Polymer Net Shield. Use the Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer just once a month after a wash, and you can go as long as any sealant will take you. Best part, nothing sticks to the paint.
