What semi to full boutique wax for dark blue paint?

Hey OneEyedBob, I actually removed the Collinite #845 after leaving it on the car for 2 days while it sat in our underground parking spot at the apartment we live in and it came right off, no problems at all. I know it doesn't matter how long it sits on the car as the #845 isn't designed to do that but I just wanted to see and it was ironic when I saw your post about how its hard to remove sometimes, well, not sure what's going on with yours, maybe its being applied to thickly but I had NO issues removing it and FWIW, it was hot and muggy this past weekend and there's NO airflow in the underground parking area.

I think my issue is that Im applying it too heavily. Plus Im trying to work around the sun. I dont have any shade... And the parking garage I have by me, they dont let me use it.. They sent the cops one time. I was like what?

Sorry to hear that Bob but atleast you can sleep well at night knowing that all the criminals are off of the street and they've got nothing to do but make you leave a deserted parking garage, even if its not deserted, geeez! You should look for a nice park with a lot of trees and time it right, just a thought.

As far as applying #845 in the sun goes, well, I did a Scion xB a while ago at high noon-ish and it was sunny and in the 80' w/o a problem. While I don't suggest working in direct sunlight it is possible, so I'm going to say its gotta be applied too thick. This stuff spreads VERY well, so there's no need to use more, its only going to be wiped into your towel and wasted, look at it like that.

Yep, Now I know haha. Either you learn from messing up or doing it a lot. And well I learned from the first. I also did it with my DA, next time will be by hand. Its not that bad, and its what, only once a mth or once every 1.5 mths?

I actually applied the #845 w/ 6" GG, usually do it by hand after polishing but said WTH and I actually liked it but it did help me apply it evenly and thinnly but I did do it in the sun. On that particular car, the xB, I applied #845 to the entire car except for the roof, left the DG #501/601 combo on there as I applied that to the entire car and topped with 845, wanted to see how DG would hold up.

If you want something great, either get Polish Angel Centurion or Cosmic matched to your car. Master Sealant is nice too
