what shop vacs do you guys use?

I've been using a rigid and really like it. It's one of the less-powerful ones, but I've never had an issue with it sucking up what I need it to do. If I ever run into an issue I just put a narrower attachment on it to increase the suction power.
 
I got a Rigid Shop Vac at Home Depot, it was the largest, highest HP model that they had. Then I got three extra extension sections. Very happy with it, and with all those extensions attached it is just about out of earshot.
 
I use the Ridgid WD1450 14gals/6HP works pretty well,it does what it's supposed to do

Looks like the prices went up, I used to buy replacements for $7 or $8. The one you're looking at for $24 is the HEPA rated one to reduce allergens and pollen and stuff. I just use the standard included filter, which now costs $13. It's called "Craftsman 3 or 4 gal. Vac Filter" and it is on the website.

yeah i ended up getting the ridgid wd4070 at home depot for $80 5hp 4 gal, $15 filters...with an extra extension hose and other atachments it was about $115 works great
 
Sorry if this hijacks your thread, but are any of the cigarette lighter or rechargeable vacs any good? I don't have an outlet where I park at home (multi level parking garage) and I only get to vacuum my car when I'm over at a relatives house.
