I am recently new to this website and just need some pointers. My question is what do you guys recommend me buying from the online store. This website offers so many different brands I don't know where to start. I have a P.C along with a good size collection of poorboys. Also recently purchased some surf city garage stuff but have not got to use it yet. As crazy as this sounds I like trying a a lot of different stuff from many different brands. I would really appreciate some pointers on what are good items to purchase from here.

Thanks

What color is your car, how anal are you about the finish, what conditions are you trying to correct etc etc? Try to narrow down what you are trying to achive so we can help you.

Im sorry, my truck is a black 2006 dodge ram 2500. I am very anal and try to keep it's finish in perfect shape. I used the poorboys swirl removers (2.5 and 1) but still in direct sunlight I can still see some swirls. I would like pointers on everything polishes, glaze, wax, paint correction, interior (don't have leather), etc..

Thanks

Check the Menzerna page @ AG the 106ff with a white or orange pad should take care of the swirls. l06ff should make the paint LSP ready. Souveran paste wax is awesome for black. You can seal first with WG sealant for longer durability. Use 303 cleaner and protector for your fabric seats to protect from UV. BTW 2.5 should have removed all the swirls, maybe you are not working the pc slow enough. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info I will look into that when I place my next order. Maybe I did not work it in with the P.C long enough with the poorboys 2.5. When I used it on a black BMW it removed all swirls so maybe I rushed when doing my truck. What is your choice of a quick detailer and car shampoo.

Welcome to the site. You are off to a great start with PC, pads, Poorboy's, and Surf City. Take a look at the link in my signature on some tips to use SSR2.5. A lot of people like Optimum and Duragloss shampoos. If you have an urge to buy a little more expensive shampoos you can't go wrong with PB SS&S or Pinnacle's. QDs are a little tougher, are you looking for slickness, looks, cleaning ability, or durability? How about a spray wax? Optimum OCW, Duragloss AW, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran are all good choices for a spray wax as well. How's your stock of MF towels? Clay? IMO, you can never have too many MF towels, pads or clay. The more the better :).

My order has not arrived but I got plenty of micro fibers from all over. Just ordered 6 cobra Jr. and a 4 pack of the surf city nano micro fibers. Also ordered the poorboys QW along with with a lot of other poorboys stuff. ( rim cleaners, polishes, swirl removers, tire dressing.) Clay stock is good for now, but I will look into those other spray waxes you suggested. Any other advice on your guys favorites would be a great help, thanks again.

Here are ones that I keep replacing:
DP= Anything
Pinnacle= Clay; Souveran; Sig Series II; Crystal Mist QD; Leather stuff; All XMT's
Wolfgang= Plastic lens kit; Sealant
Menzerna= SIP; 106FF
Duragloss= Shampoo 901; Sealant 105; Aquawax 951
Poorboys= Bug Squash; S & W
Amazing Roll-Off
Black Again
Micro-Restore
303 Cleaner and Protectant

You gotta let me know what you think of the Surf City micro fibers..I've been eyeing them!!!

For a quick spray wax you really can't beat Duragloss AW

A really nice QD = Surf City Hot Rod Detailer

Superb Soap = Duragloss 901

Interior (low sheen) = Surf City Dash Away - This stuff is great. It looks awesome on interior trim..has a masculine smell AND suprisingly enough works great for spot treating carpet stains...Trully a product for the entire interior!

Easy on easy off fantastic looking sealant with GREAT durability = Duragloss 105 TPP (don't let the name fool you, it's not a polish it's a sealant)

A great AIO = Duragloss 501 (this stuff has mean cleaning power and gives pretty nice slickness for a AIO

Pick up some upholstery brushes for you PC (they are awesome)

As offered by others Menzerna is the BOMB!!! No need to ditch the SSR's though use those suckers up and move up to Menzerna (106ff and SIP should take care of you)

Sounds good I am going to wax my truck over the weekend so I will report back on how the SC micro fibers worked out. I just ordered a 32 oz SSR 2.5 so I will finish that up like you suggested first.

Wash -- stick with Poorboys
Clay --- Pinnacle or Wolfgang
Prep --- Menzerna Polishes (specifically 085rd or 106ff)
Wax --- Liquid Souveran, Souveran Paste, Dp MaxWax
Sealant --- Four Star UPP
