What should my next tool be?

Interesting....

I've been using the PC as long as anyone and in most cases longer. First generation plus the new XP model. Heck I was the first guy to make a full length video on ow to use the PC for doing multiple step correction work.

If the PC was faster at correction I would have labeled it the BEAST instead of the FLEX 3401. :laughing:


Because no matter what the shape of the panel you cannot stop the pad from spinning you can tackle any shape or curved panel without pad stalling.


But to each their own...

I ended up getting a Flex PE 14-2, used one time, on eBay for $280!

Now you have the rotary learning curve to go through but t they work well once you get the range on them. Start with slow speed to learn is my advice & bump it up as you get more comfortable. Keep your
PC to remove any holograms you may inflict while learning. Good luck with it!

If most of your details are not in good condition and need a 2 step correction or more, get a Flex 3401. If most of your details are in pretty good shape and a one step is all it needs, get a big throw like a Rupes.

I agree with Mike, if your doing correction work, get a paint gauge.:xyxthumbs:

I don't understand this at all. Why do you think the 3401 is better suited for 2-steps and long throws aren't?

Get the 5" if you can.
