What soap for my dirty truck?..PICS

It's just salt and mud. Just pressure wash it off and then it will be clean enough that any car shampoo will work well. You really don't need some super duper dirt fighting shampoo, you just need a pressure washer.

I agree, the problem here isn't that you need an amazing soap, you need a strong pressure washer.

Foam your car with a garden hose, but no pressure wash = grime left on

Pressure wash your car with water = grime taken off

Foam car with pressure washer but don't pressure wash it with water first = grime left on

So... what you need is a pressure washer. But if you get a foam cannon for your pressure washer, life is fun ;)

What he said ^^
Pressure wash is the key to swirl free finish.
Follow by desire car soap or rinseless/waterless wash :D

I know pressure washer is a great starting point, as many have suggested, and I am debating on buying one but I don't have one now. A soap gun is the least expensive metod comparing to the cost of a cannon and a pressure washer, which I would rather do if I can swing the cost. Going to the quarter car wash (as we call them, even though it takes alot more than a QUARTER:doh:) is an option but doing that everyday or every other day will add up and that is not the most convient. I have the abilty to park my truck indoors at work for up to 24 hours (that is my shift), and I have time through out the day to rinse it down.

Yes, I was looking for an amazing soap that has dirt releasing and lubricity properties. A soap that can help soften up the dirt and aide in it sliding off the paint, but not just the paint but also the wheels wells and the undercarriage. Even if I clean the truck, if I stand back I can see the dirt underneath and on the inside walls of the tire. Sorry I don't have pics. I will try some of the soaps recommended. Thank you, bye the way.

Also, I dont use the 2 bucket method, I use the 1 bucket 12 microfiber wash method. I use one folded in 4 microfiber and start at the top of a panel switch to a clean fold as I work my wat down the panel and when I reach the bottom the rag is set aside in the dirty pile. I say 12 microfibers because sometimes I need more than on per panel.

I think that soap is a mythical beast, but they do have what are called "snowfoams" in Europe that are closer to what you're looking for. I think it is some EPA thing that we don't have them here. There is also the issue of whether a soap that "strong" will damage automotive surfaces or strip your LSP.

You can get a passable pressure washer for ~$150. If you're going to wash your truck in the 'house and leave the pressure washer there, maybe one of your co-workers will go halfies with you on a better one. Or fire up the pumper and use that?

Even after you pressure wash there will still be "road film" on the truck, which is the oily residue that clings to the paint, that really only comes off with mechanical agitation. One other thing, you could foam gun the vehicle and get one of those multi-pattern nozzles that has a "flat spray" or "sharp spray" which, depending on your water pressure is sort of a poor man's pressure washer.

Sorry I rambled.
