What setting are you using with the 3401 when you are using compound, polish, sealer, wax?

Too many variables for a "stock" answer but I'll gives some settings that have worked for me.

5.5" Yellow with Menz Intensive Polish: 3 to 3.5
5.5" or 6.5" White pad with Menz Intensive Polish: 3 to 4
5.5" or 6.5" White pad with Menz Final Polish: 4 to 4.5
5.5" or 6.5" Red or black pad with Wolgang Paintwork Polish Enhancer: 5.5
6.5" Gold pad and sealants: 2.25 to 2.75

My speeds are general slower than what others have posted BUT the humidty levels here are very low - using products at higher speeds seems to dries them out too quickly (no idea why), especially the polishes - they dry before breaking down and flashing.

(Right now it is now over 100F in my garage and humidity is below 10%.)

Search the posts as there is a fair amount of info on the forum.

When trying to remove defects is use 5-6 all day. Finishing could be anywhere from 3-6, depends on what products I'm using, as well as the hardness of the clearcoat.
