What stage of Paint?

How do I know how thick my paint is and if it is single stage or clear coat, etc?

I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 convertible, light Blue in color.

And what type of sealant and wax should I use?

The factory paint jobs on modern cars are very thin. "As thin as a post it note" as Mike Phillips says. The paint on your car is most certainly a base coat/clear coat system.

Take a look in the driver side door jamb for your vehicle's ID tag. At the bottom of the tag there'll be the paint code (PNT or P).

If the letters that are listed after the PNT/P are either:
KDB or PDB...it's Crystal Blue Pearl (light blue).
That means it's a BC/CC paint system.

The best way to measure paint thickness is with an EPTG.

One way to find out is to Put a little polish on a clean pad, make sure the car is clean, if you see color transfer then you most likely have SS paint.
My RAV is SS which causes my pads to get messy but I just love how a SS paint shines.
I prefer polishing SS paint over CC, but that's just me.
