I just had my front fenders repainted and am wondering what is the best and safest way to clean the car. The car isn't filthy--it mainly has some road dust and rain splashing. I got caught out in the rain a couple days ago, but I rinsed it down using some distilled water as soon as I got home. I have been using ONR to wash recently and doing a pat dry. However, the shop detailer recommended that I not even wash it for the next month or so. What does everyone think?

my local body shop instructions , wash ok , but no wax for a month .

Except that there are some fresh paint safe waxes/sealants out there. OCW and Opti-Seal are two such products....

that's nice to know , I've been waiting it out to go over my mothers suv that she wrecked. thanks for the info . I have both of those products.
