What to bring on a crosscountry roadtrip???

Personally I focus more on tools to fix what ever I can on the side of the road on long trips. Really cheap parts as well (serpentine belt) and a couple of quarts of oil and some extra coolant/water just in case. Nothing like being raped by a tow truck company and then a shop to ruin/stop a long trip.

the 3m spray film may be a good thing to have.

Does anyone have any other good ideas to try and prevent/resist rock chip damage? My brother suggested taping up panels that are likely gonna get hit with rocks. Anyone else do this for long trips?

Yep I use 3m blue painters tape for when I'm driving to shows it works great and it'll peel right off, just if you keep it on for a long time it may not be as good as the 3m spray film

I agree! I got that covered: liquids and and some basic tools. This trip is already expensive enough, I don't need added expenses from a tow truck haha

I do what Mike Phillips suggested. I also take a tub of Ice Paste in case I get bored. I travel to do gigs with my band, so there's sometimes down time to do things like that.

I just did TN to FL round trip. I took UWW+, about 25 MF towels, tire shine, and my wash mitt for the coin power washer that I WILL find...

I honestly don't think there's a need to carry an enormous amount of product. In the off chance you do need anything special an auto parts or walmart can't be far away.

That's all you need bro, enjoy the trip, you can't worry about the car...

Oh btw, FL water is terrible.. If you park next to a sprinkler get the water off with the quickness. OR YOU WILL PAY:buffing:
