What to do before I reapply wax

Newb question here, bare with me. About 5 weeks ago I polished my car, sealed with BFWD, then waxed with Midnight Sun. Now, I would like to apply another layer of wax.

Can I simply do a normal wash then apply the wax? Should I clay first, or would that remove sealant?

after you've done a thorough wash and there's no contaminants, then reapply your lsp...

Thanks guys. I'll give it a thorough 2 bucket wash and apply another layer of wax. Claying shouldn't be necessary since I just did it 5 weeks ago, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I touch up with a layer from time to time before polishing again. I generally machine polish the vehicles 2x/ year and then lay down new LSP.
