When my dad and I come down for Detail Fest, we are considering staying a couple extra days. Does anybody have any suggestions (nothing too expensive) of things to do in or around Stuart?

There is the Navy Seals museum in Ft. Pierce a few minutes away. You could go cruise around Palm Beach. I can show you where Donald Trump, Rush Limbaugh and Jimmy Buffett live...and the Kennedy compound of course. Maybe you and dad want to head out for some deep sea fishing? There are plenty of charters out of Stuart and Jupiter. We could all scout out Max's house and "borrow" his boat for the day. I lived in the West Palm area for 30 years and there really isn't much recreation unless you like the beach, bars, shopping and eating. You could go up to Daytona for the day and hit the fan stuff at the speedway.

You also might consider heading up to Kennedy Space Center. There won't be much left of it to see in the near future and there is a lot of history there.

We visited there in '79 on our first trip to FL. Very interesting.

Some of the best offshore fishing is in Stuart....charter a boat!

Google Stuart, or any other area of interest. It's amazing the tourist info one can gather on the net. You might also want to head north to Orlando after detail fest. Besides the obvious theme parks, there is plenty to do and motel rooms are cheap!

Stuart is a bit of an older quieter town and you'll find a bit less to do than some Florida towns. Luckily you are relatively close to other areas which you might find more attractions. I find the hardest thing to find in Stuart is several really good places to eat that are close, as at the end of each day your usually pooped and sun-burnt and want a calm atmosphere to enjoy and relax. I believe Dwayne offered Dolphins as fitting that request.
