What to do with this grill

Paint it with Wurth Trim paint. Should take 1 hour including dry times. Easy prep and nice satin finish.

That is the best Satin Trim "are0sol" paint I have used. Too bad this grill looks permanently stained or it could be cleaned.

Wurth is a nice quality spray paint for wheels and some blacks,it's recognized in a lot of body shops. That grill can be cleaned but not with a timid approach.

I've dealt with plenty of chemically burned/etched plastic, have fun cleaning that. Those pics from a detailer that used a VERY harsh cleaner look all to familiar. Too bad he just didn't wax em or they "could" be cleaned.

That's a 20 min job, done several promblems like that actually worse. It was a Honda CR-V wax everywhere all over the cladding and on sheet metal and roof rack and even on the wiper arms.I charged 400 to remove the horror and it took 3 hrs,I love promblem cars.

Yep, I charge a mint to remove wax also, easy fix, chemical burns like what the OP showed I ain't touching because it's not on the surface, the plastic is screwed and no amount of scrubbing, pressure washing etc will fix it.

There's no chemical etching, there's just dried on wax on plastic.

IMO it looks like a chemical that has ran and dried in the hot sun usually wax is more of a streak but i have not seen it in person yet he just text me the picture but whatever it is it looks awful and is probably gonna be a pain to get clean if it comes clean

Completely and respectfully disagree. Been there, seen it, and tried to deal with it before, on the same type truck. It ain't wax.

Bingo, The hack detailers around where I live are guilty of this daily it seems, they use VERY harsh chemicals and they often will damage side trim, grills, etc. You can see the run marks, that's not wax.

Now that I blew it up,it's Presoak damage.I would scuff it down with a red scotch Brite pad then solution finish.or 229.00 for a new grill, dam hackers.

What do you want for a 20.00 dollar wash job.The owner is partly to blame as well,he should of inspected before paying.presoak damage is immediate and he should of seen it.I would call the hacker back to wash truck and video tape him spraying God knows what, and take him to court.without causation you don't have a case.
