Hi guys

i'm looking for a product that i can use to spray on stubborn dirt/grime on paint to loosen them before rinsing the car and using the 2 bucket method.

I've read alot about the P21S total auto wash but their really expensive :(

Cheers !

Any APC in a proper dilution can help with stubborn grime/bugs/etc. It's a lot cheaper than P21S TAW too.. though I know a lot of folks LOVE that product.

Yup any apc will work, I've herd a lot about TAW too but have yet to try it.

Should u spray it down with APC, then go straight to the 2 bucket method? Or rinse before 2 bucket?

I would check out 1z-einszett W99 if its really bad. Might also be able to use Meg's Super Degreaser

When I first detail a car:
I:
1) Rinse the car off with water.
2) Spray the entire car with Chemical Guys Grime Reaper 5:1, or an APC.
3) Let dwell for like 2-3minutes.
4) Spray car with the foam gun. I use Chemical Guys Citrus Wash.
5) Rinse off.
6) Two bucket method.

For maintenance:
I:
1) Spray the car down with Megs 12:1 APC.
2) Let dwell for like 1minute.
3) Spray the car with CG Maxi Suds.
4) Let dwell for like 2minutes.
5) Rinse off.
6) Two bucket method.

We are an anal bunch aren't we? :props: Btw, that's a compliment.

When people see me wash my car, they think I'm anal too!

12:1 Megs APC , is that the normal green APC or the APC+ ?

I can't get APC+ here in australia cause they said it's discontinued here

I thought of diluting CG citrus wash & gloss at 5:1 to prewash but i think it's remove LSP

Doesnt spraying the APC cleaners remove any wax/sealant?

Or do you do this when you know you are going to wax?

I thought APC was not "paint safe".... I know OPT's power clean is paint safe and I thought this was one of its bigger selling points?

I have used PB's bug squash as a prewash cleaner but I found it not overly cost effective :)

Cheers

Meg's does not recommend Super Degreaser for use on paint, it may cause damage to paint. Another alternative should be used.

It can be used as either a stripper(does remove LSP) or an enhancer?(doesn't remove LSP)

From description: Mix one half ounce of the solution with 1 - 2 gallons of water when you want to wash your vehicle and not strip off the current layer of protection. If you want to use as a paintwork cleanser to strip off the current layer of protection mix 2 ounces with one gallon of water.

It's all about dilution ratio.

Yes, it does.
And yes, you would mostly do this when you know you are going to claybar/wax or at least wax. (E.G. when you have bugs/tar everywhere).

why not spray the car with a ONR-mix and leave it dwell for 5 minutes, then rinse and go to 2 bucket method. safer then APC in my opinion

Auto Finess Citrus Power. Works amazingly, pretty cheap, and does not effect the LSP at all.

I love when things come back from the dead! UWW+ Pre soak all the way!

I find UWW+ pretty weak for a pre soak. I used to use it but I never found it to be effective. Now I use citrus power, super effective and LSP safe.

I'm not sure if this is too expensive or not, but I have 2 bottles of this stuff

It seems to work well as as a pre-rinse and doesn't affect LSPs. If you read the label, its not only for bugs, its for tar, grime, etc...

Only problem is, I never use it because my cars don't get dirty enough.
