What to use on a plastic windshield?

I have a standard plastic windshield on my motorcycle and live where we get LOTS of bugs. I can go on one ride and have the windshield literally COVERED with bugs - almost solid at times.

I'd like to coat it with something that would help release these bugs and make it easier to clean. I bought some Opti-coat 2.0 and was going to do that, but then I read not to do it on glass. Well, my screen isn't "glass", it's plastic so does that still apply or not?

Would it be advisable to use the Opti-Coat on the screen? Will it help with bug removal? Any other suggestions?

I use bugslide on my Harley. Made in Wisconsin and works well, usually locally available. BUGSLIDE™

I should add that I experimented with CarPro Reload and the performance was comparable to Bugslide, but I find bugslide's AIO nature easier to use.

I use Klasse AIO on my bike windshield. Does a good job of cleaning and sealing, making it easy to clean off bugs later.

I've used GTechniq C1.5 Silo Seal on my motorcycle before with amazing results against bugs on the highway. It's a slick spray sealant so bugs will just slide off your windshield. I'd highly recommend GTechniq C1.5 Silo Seal.
