Right now pretty much all my pads are LC CCS 5.5" pads that I have been using. I did just get some white 5.5" LC flat pads last week, however I have't had a chance to use them. I am hoping AG runs a sale on LC and Megs this coming week so I can order some more pads. I am planning on trying some of the Megs microfiber cutting pads. So my question is what type of pads do you prefer, CCS or Flats. I am thinking about order some of the flats just based on price to try them out once and see if there really is much difference between the two. So lets hear your opinion.
Feed back please

I have all colors of pads, but i found that i have more LC Orange and Red pads, followed by LC Blue.

Personally i prefer the CCS as in my head something tells me that those tiny little dots allow the pad to cool as it rotates..kinda like drilled rotors.

Mostly LC 5.5" & 4" CCS pads (Yellow, orange, white, grey & red). Might pick up some green for AIO. I use red to apply wax. I think I have 1 blue CCS. I have some 3" Hydro tech pads in the mail. Ill try those out soon. I learned on CCS so I just have stuck with them. I plan to try out MF pads once I get an air compressor to clean them out.

Mf pads and lc hydros that's all I use anymore.

Sometimes I have to break out a wool pad but not very often.

LC 5.5" white and grey. . .followed by meg's 6 and 5 inch cutting and finishing MF pads.

I used to use the orange pads a lot before I completely switched over to MF pads.

So you don't use the orange/cutting pads at all anymore. I am really thinking I would like to switch to the MF pads since they are so much easier to clean on the fly. I think if Megs stuff goes on sale I am gonna order 2 packs of them MF cutting pads to try them. Do you still use M105 on the MF pads?

I use LC Hydrotech pads because the compounds/polishes I use are all water-based. I have them in both 5.5" and 4". I guess the 5.5" Hydrotechs would be considered "flat," but the 4" Hydrotechs are by no means flat, they are very thick.

I am also curious and waiting till they go on sale. MF pads are too expensive at the moment

I have more orange and white pads than others. Mainly because those get worked the hardest (more pressure, heat, section passes) and seem to wear out the fastest. I only have a couple of the reds and blues. Only use those for spreading sealant and wax with on the weight of the machine.

LC 6.5
Yellow
Orange
Pink
White
Green
Gold

I love these things. I plan to also get some 5.5's later.

I have pretty much an even number of each pad in my collection but the majority type of pad are MF now since I've come to like them more than foam.

Too many black finishing ones...

I use them, but have much less on hand than in the past. Although I really like the 3" mf pads, the small lc orange pads come in handy in tight spots, where mf just won't conform.

Yes, I use m105 with the cutting pads...probably switching to 101 when I run out (I keep saying that hahaha, I will eventually). I also use D300 a lot, and occasionally I will use m100.

Do your research on the mf pads before doing a job. They can be frustrating if you haven't done your homework. There is a learning curve for sure.

Also, do underestimate how well the mf finishing pads work. D301 is also a great product.
