New to the forums, thought I'd introduce myself. Purchased a car that I can finally feel the need to take car of (08 altima coupe) and that starts with a clean car. New to the whole detailing thing though. I'm used to buying a thing of soap from Walmart and calling my car clean. Been searching the site for a kit on a tight budget that's effective yet simple.

Anyways see ya around the forums

What is your idea of "clean"? If you want to have a shiny car, you can have a pretty tight budget. If you want a swirl free car, you're going to have to drop the money on a Dual Action polisher.

I'm not trying to crazy. I want a fresh clean polished look as if it were new. I'm also looking to protect the cars paint as well. I can always upgrade to something like a dual polisher sometime down the road. I was recommended the Wolfgang concourse (I think that's what it was called). But that's still 130 bucks and does not come with any wax just prewax spray and a shiner spray which may be all I need. Would still need tire cleaner.

I haven't been aware of a buzzing noise from my A-pillar. My passanger side seatbelt anchor on the B-pillar rattles and my handbrake rattles, but nothing a little volume on the music cant fix. Nice, I wanted black but had to settle with Precision Gray. Just needs a new grill I am tired of looking at the Chrome Honeycomb look, want something closer to the straight bar like on the G35.

But anyways back to car detailing. My budget is probably maxed out around $130. That kit looks good, some of the stuff i wouldn't need like leather cleaner though.

This was the kit i was referring to in my previous post
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Total Concours Kit, exterior car care kit, wash, clay, polish, and wax

Im basically looking for a good starter kit (like the one you mentioned) that will give my car a good look. When i can increase my budget ill look to upgrade to a full polishing kit. Out of the kit you recommended or the one i linked to, or perhaps neither, which would you guys recommend.

Welcome, nothing wrong with Wal-Mart soap, I get my meguiars gold class soap and stoners glass cleaner from there. It's good for on the quick and budget friendly

Yea i might be taking this route for now, car is filthy and needs a cleaning bad. I use stoners glass cleaner, works pretty well. Just need a better applicator.

yeah megs gold class wash n wax is great soap... the best over the counter one in my opinion.
