What was your first car?

Still driving my first car - 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL. Had just under 90,000 miles on it when I got it almost 6 years ago, now has just under 138,000 miles on it. Haven't really had to do a whole lot of major stuff to it either - just replacing parts that got old or worn out. Just regular maintenance. Been a great car; not the sportiest car on the road, but she's still a nice looking car that gives me no trouble. Still love that car.

1953 Willys M38A1, primer gray (various shades). Swapped Chevy 350 and then learned how to swap drive shaft(s) with a pair of vice grips...Never did roll it all the way over.

My first car was a 1972 Ford Pinto. It was a Sprint package with a red/white/blue theme inside and outside. I bought it in 1977 with 52,000 miles for $375. I wish cars could be bought for that sort of money now.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, you can find one in that inflation adjusted price range.:D

My first car is my current car. 1999 Toyota Avalon XLS in white. Has every option besides leather and traction control. (who needs trac anyways? xD) I got it about 9 months ago for my 16th birthday and it was passed down to me when my mom bought her new car. 200hp, 3.0L V6. It's surprised quite a few people to say the least ;) Runs very well, especially if you consider it's got 151,000 miles on the clock.

my first car was 2 door 65' Chevy BelAir with a straight 6 cylinder and a two speed power glide transmission.

1966 VW bug. 42 hp :). Got it when I was 11 and dad and I restored it so I could drive it when I turned 16.

77 olds cutlas I bought from a old lady with 30k miles on it. Nice low miles for a 15 year old car at the time.

1976 Ford Pinto station wagon, hit a tree doing doughnuts in my back yard before I got my license (did a lot of stupid stuff at 14yrs old). Fun little car, would like to find another and do a 5.0 swap down the road.

My first car was a white 1979 Mazda Rx-7.
There is no way to replace the feeling of freedom that your first car did!

My first car was a 1973 Dodge Challenger. I spent half my time trying to repair all of the rust with the hope of getting it painted one day. Never did get the money to piant it but I still loved that car. I would love to get one now but the spouse is not in on this idea.

mine was a darker blue and a V8.... best seats ever in a car, but other than that, nothing but quirky issues

My 1st car was a 1956 2 door Mercury hardtop with 3 on the tree, and a hot 312 V8 with a 4BBL. Ran like a dream.

Baby blue 1975 Mustang II hatchback......Yea...........the one with the pinto engine in it.

1978 GMC Caballero w, a built 350. I got this car when I was 16, it had horsepower and a light rear end, needless to say, it was wrecked in no time. But at least I got to do some wicked burnouts for by car bit the dust.

1965 Chevy Impala. 327 cubic inch that I still wax nostalgic about. Wish I had it now. But that's life.

Now, my opinion is something I'm an expert on but I think the 4-bolt 327 Chevy engine was the best small block ever produced!! :props:
