Re: What was your very frist car you owned?

Wow, what are the odds - my first car was blue 1976 Datsun B210! I admit, it was a hunk of junk, but a free hunk of junk given to me by a family friend. I drove the hell out of it, never changing the oil, never washing it. It was a beater that wouldn't die. I cringe when I look back on how I treated that car, but I didn't know any better at 17.

LOL, quite a coincidence. Mine was super reliable too, sold it at 100K miles to a co-worker and they pretty much treated it they way you treated yours  That thing was SO underpowered, slowed down a few mph every time I turned the a/c on.

I remember racing my buddy in his VW bug, pretty lame but those were the days Im the MAN

1972 Dodge Coronet with an underpowered 318. This is not it, but it is the same color. Mine was a bit crusty around the edges had rust holes and a torn front bench seat, but it was MINE, ALL MINE

I shared a '79 Chevette hatchback with my dad all the way through high school. What's not to love about 80hp in a rear wheel drive hatchback with a four speed manual! The ultimate doughnut machine in the snow.

The first car I actually bought with my own money was a '93 Pontiac Grand Am. Not one of better cars GM's built...

1954 Ford 2 door coupe. Column shifter, as I recall.

1955 Chevy 2-door with 3 on the tree. It was back in the mid-70's when I was in high school. Just ended up selling it less than 2 years ago to pay some bills. Broke my heart. But life goes on.
