I have enjoyed many hours of fun detailing my cars over the years. I have been fortunate to have won at many car shows with one or more of these cars. Everyone always asks me how do I do it? My daily driver, a 2001 Mustang SVT Cobra convertible was in the Griot's Garage tent on Sunday of last years Detail Fest -- a real honor for me. I learned so much from Robert (Bob) and I also shared some of my secrects as well.
One of my secrets is to use Lake Country Kompressor pads only. I use different products but only that particular pad style. I may use the orange or black or green pad, but always Lake Country. The other thing I do is use Meguiars Ultimate Compound with a GOLD L.C. Kompressor pad. Followed by Meguiars #26 with the gold pad. Yeah I know, it takes longer to use a soft pad, but the results are well worth the effort. My wife has a 2009 Hyundai Azera, I do the same to that car. I have a 1996 Volvo 960 w/139k on it, and it is showroom new (except for door dings & road rash. I hope to put the Cobra in this years Detail Fest again, of course in the Griot's Garage tent if they will have me.
Thanks, I am always willing to help people if they need info, or if you want a car show shine on your daily driver.
Kind Regards
Dave

:welcome: To Autogeek Online Dave!! :props:

Many here enjoy the passion of detailing as a way to relax and take pride in improving the appearance of their car. Detailing is also another way of keeping the car or truck protected making it outlast many like it leaving others scratching their heads wondering how your finish remained looking new.....
