What's a better LSP: DG 601/105, PNS, OOS?

I have both DG 105/601 as well as Sonax PNS/BSD. My memory doesn't serve me well which one I love more but one of them will be applied tomorrow. For those of you who have used both and can remember which one works better for you, I'd like to know the details.

Too many products and too little time.

Yes, too many products for sure! I have used DG 105/601 (DG 111/601 as well) and Sonax PNS. I have not used the BSD yet. I do not look at longevity of protection, only effectiveness of protection (sheeting, beading, dust attraction, ease of dirt removal during wash, etc.). Of course, I always look for shine and depth.

Here is my take on these products, for what it is worth. DG is easy to apply and looks just as good as anything out there, especially on my Mercedes Diamond White paint. I think I prefer the 105 over the 111 as it does not look quite as "candy apple", if you know what I mean. It is sort of "antiseptic" in nature. I almost always put a wax over both 105 and 111, although it is not necessary. OCW is good for a spray and Collinite 845 is what I use for liquid. Griot's Professional Wax is my choice on top of Duragloss whenever I feel like using a paste wax. Again, this is not necessary but sometimes I like to fool around with a wax. Because I detail with a sealant or wax every couple of months or so these products are certainly in good shape and not degraded at all when I remove them for the new LSP. It is my opinion that you could get six months easy out of both 111 and 105 with nothing on top of them and using only AquaWax every now and then as a booster.

Sonax PNS is, at least to me, much more difficult to work with. It is hard to spread and hard to buff off, even going as light as possible. I have tried every kind of towel to buff this stuff and it still grabs. I just wish it were slicker. However, in time it will work out and leaves a very nice sheen but with some depth to my paint, to the point that the "diamonds" in my paint are more pronounced. I do not use any wax over PNS and I'm sure you could get at least six months out of it standing alone as well.

I am sure the beading and sheeting is pretty much the same although I think the nod here goes to Sonax. I am also positive that PNS repels dust and dirt better than anything else I have ever used. If only it did not grab my towels so much!

You won't go wrong with any of these products, especially if you do what I do and first apply P21S Paintwork Cleanser. You can use a finishing pad or do it by hand, either way it spreads great and is a piece of cake to work with. Unless you need an actual polish, the P21S is mandatory to prep the paint for either Sonax or DG - or any other LSP for that matter.

I prefer the DG products inexpensive, easy to work with and strong durability. I use 501 and 601 mixed on the polishing pad frequently. I also like Col845 wax.

Sonax NetShield and Menzerna Power Lock seems to always come on top when these types of questions are posted.

So either of those products toped with Collinite 845 would be my suggestion for winter protection.

I had Powerlock on my truck last winter here in Kansas and the road salt ate right through it on the lower panels...

Ill be trying either DP poll-coat or 845 this winter.

I love DG products but sonax PNS is nothing short of a game changer as far as sealants. Closer to a coating and actually repels dirt and water better than sone coatings I've tried.

I might be talking crazy here, but could you layer DG111 over DG601/105 for added protection? Would it be worth the extra work? I believe that 111 is a pure sealant so it shouldn't remove the 105, correct?

Crazy or Really Crazy?
