What's better than Rain-X?

I use groits glass sealent here in mn works very well im not much of a rainx fan.

I'll definitely recommend Aquapel. I had it on my cars when I lived in Seattle and it would last 5-6 months before really showing signs of wearing off. It rains, a LOT, in Seattle too so it got a lot of use. I was going to try to get enough to do it myself on my Jeep on all windows (previous experience was the "chip repair guy" applying it to my windshield only for me), but then someone suggested the Griot's product and I just got some put on last night. No idea on durability but from what I read I'm hoping it'll be like Aquapel. Either way, the price was right so worst case it doesn't work long and I end up with 2-3 Aquapel applicators next time.

I love Aquapel, but the new Pinnacle Glass sealant is pretty good too! Plus a little goes a real real long way....

Wow I thought it would be a simple question with definite answers!
Rain-X
Aquapel
Pinnacle Glass Sealant
G5
Griots Glass Sealant

Votes seem to be for Aquapel. Glad to see it's not $$$.

An application of Aquapel should last the entire winter. Put it on my cars a month and a half ago and so far, so good.

What do you use between applications of aquapel?
Thanks

Aquapel has lasted me an entire year using windshield wipers (this includes a Canadian winter ;))
But I also would recommend Wolf's Chemicals glass guard, it lasts ridiculously long with wipers as well and is more cost effective since you can use it on many windows instead of just 1 like aquapel.
Griots glass sealant is decent, only lasts about 1-2 months though, but extremely cost effective so you can't complain.
Hands down though I'd recommend aquapel if you can nab it for $5 per applicator; 1 whole year of durability is hard to argue against.

GTechniq G1 (maximum durability) or G5 (maximum repellency). Or you can put G5 on top of G1 for the best of both worlds...

I just bought some Pinnacle, and wow does it go a long way! It hasn't been on much more than a couple weeks, so I can't comment on durability. This bottle will last me for a long time.

I did hear that the Opti-glass is great especially when it comes to the wiper issuer...now we just have to wait until it's released....

I have used Rain X and Griots. The Rain X works well, but it does seem to make the wipers chatter a bit. It doesn't last more than maybe 2 months. But the flip side is that it is cheap, and OTC. Most people complain of the streaking. I apply it in a cross hatch pattern, let it haze and re-apply the same way as before. The I spray the glass lighty with water and buff to a streak free finish. Griots seems to have applied the same way, and seems to be a little slicker and the wipers have not chattered yet. The morning mist on my side windows and windshield is gone by the time I get to 30mph. I have to wait to see about the durability.

Aquapel certainly lasts a lot longer than Rain-X, but it doesn't shed water nearly as well. If I could get something that worked as good as Rain-X does its first week and lasted as long as Aquapel, I'd be happy.

I'm going to give G1 a try and see how that goes. The one-time use of Aquapel is a slight deterrent with lots of windows to do and the wife's mini-van. Hopfully I can get all the windows done with the 15ml bottle. (or the wife gets the left over RainX on the rest of the windows).

FWIW, I can get three windshields out of a single Aquapel.
I have never been able to do that much. Normally I can do the windshield and both driver and passenger side front windows . After that it starts running pretty dry. On a smaller car I might be able to get the back window too.
