Sorry if this is repetive. I did a number of searches and didn't really hit what I was looking for.

I have a brand new Ford F-350 in Tuxedo Black (a metallic black). It was built in Oct. and I bought it a couple of weeks ago so it hasn't been sitting on the lot a long time.

I live outside of Boise, Idaho so we get a fair amount of winter weather and it's seldom that your going to want to take your car outside and wash it so durability and portection trumps looks until spring.

What are recommended steps and products to get some long lasting protection? Ease of use is important too as I've never done any exterior car care other than wash and hand wax with a mass market product.

Thank you for your help and patience.

I would first start out by claying the vehicle (even brand new cars have contaminates on them that claying would get rid of). Than do a mild polish and wax or seal it. Make sure you have a good washing technique down as well two buckets WW drying towels good lubricating soap and wash mitts.

While the paint on todays vehicles are better today then they ever were they do need attention.

Here's a few suggestions.

Car Wash:
Duragloss 901, DP Extreme Foam, Meguiar's Hyper-Wash

Clay - Meguiar's

Medium Polish: Menzerna Power Finish, Meguiar's M205

Final Polish: Menzerna PO85RD

Wheel Cleaner: Meguiar's Wheel Brightener

Wheel Wax: DP Wheel Glaze, Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant

Trim: Poorboy's World Trim Restore, Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant

Liquid Sealant: Menzerna Power Lock, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, DP Poli-Coat

Liquid Wax:
Collinite 845, Pinnacle Souveran,

Paste wax:
Collinite Marque Elegance, Pinnacle Signature Series, Poorboy's Natty, DP Max Wax,
