What's the best sealant to use on polished aluminum?

Ive been using Opti-coat on my Iforged Wheels for more than two years now. Polish first, then two coats to protect.

The best stuff I have ever used is Zoop Seal. They have changed their name but if you Goggle it you will find it. (just found it, now called ShineSeal)
It's expensive.
It's complicated to apply.
And it can take several days to fully clear.
And when they tell you to wash the parts with distilled water, DON'T USE TAP WATER!

I coated a pair of Akront aluminum motorcycle rims before they were laced up to the hub on a bike that was going to Bonneville. The rims never got any further treatment, but they still looked new four years later. And they had been soaked in salt brine and sat crystals for weeks at a time. They were the only surface on the bike that didn't suffer from being run at the Salt Flats.

My review on the longevity was based on the old Zoop product, not the new ShineSeal. So I can't testify about it's lifespan.

I used Opti Coat on my Wheels. Stuff is great. Amazed at the shine on the polished wheels. Also much easier to clean. I now just use the left over water in a ONR wash to clean the wheels.

I too Opti-coated my wheels, I removed them from the car and cleaned until spotless. Then applied Opti-coat to the inward side of the wheel, was my first experience figured if I made a mistake the back side would be better. After one wheel and the operation of Opti-coat and coated the from side for the wheels.
Brake dust stays off the the wheels and I have not wheel waxed the wheels.

Not one bit. I've got a set of Torq Thrust II caps at the house the ill pull out and polish and coat this weekend while I'm watching football. I'll take some detailed pics and post up

Did you do those caps? If so, I'd like to see some pics!

I had them in a box on the shelf in the garage but it's been moved or combined with something else and I can't seem to find it right now.

I'm going to go to storage and pull one off the car since I didn't coat those.
