Went to store and picked up a bottle of Tide Free mostly because everyone else was using it to wash there micro fiber towels.Just wondering whats the big differance between Tide and all the other products on the shelf that also say free no fragerance or dye. Because the Tide was the most expensive one on the shelf out of about 5 or more names.Would any of them work or has anyone compared Tide against any other brand. Buy the way there was up to a $2.00 differance in price for the same amount of ounces at WalMart. Thanks for any input.

No fabric softeners is what to look for along with those you mentioned. Tide Free fills the bill, I don't know about the others.

There are several products that have no dyes, fragrances, fabric softening or cleaning ehancing agents added.

As to which one works the best, not sure a true scientific study has been done but I lean towards ALL which was one of the first companies with this type of product. I use it for normal laundry as well as MF products for a number of reasons.

You can not go wrong with Tide and if it gives you the results you want then stick with it. By the time you figure out how many loads of laundry can be done with a gallon of Tide (ALL/whatever) the cost differences become very small.

I checked the labeling on a buck of products, including Tide Free, and if I recall correctly it doesn't say it has no fabric softners. None of them made that claim that I checked at Walmat.
