He started off by saying that DYI Detail, Clean, Detail Co., Quivr and Thor (I may have left one out), were all owned by the same investor/company and apparently somebody on the company side got butt hurt. That info alone, should not have been a big deal. P&S and 3D are supposedly owned by the same investment group and no one is complaining or cares about that. This reaction is similar to when Pay and Ivan rushed out a video on white labling after HMB came out with one. Now we see what sounds like some kind of settlement language over a comment about ownership of more than one detailing company and paid influencers. Seems these guys are extemely sensitive over something they are doing.

I would bet you 5000 dollars you can't tell the difference from something like Sonax Ultra Slick detailer than Cosmic Spritz. Even the beads if thats your thing will be very similar.

Beads leave PITA waterspots on my car so i don't even care for beads anymore.

I personally do think it’s worth that. Doesn’t mean you have to…… applies, looks and is better than SUSD. Is it 7x better….. no…. But some people will pay up for the 10% looks and way easier application.

Have you even tried it?

No i haven't. I should get out of the habit of telling people how to spend there money.

I still think the prices are very insane but that's my personal views.

I just assumed Carzilla is reacting to market demand for some Thor affiliated products. They seem to have almost hidden the Quiver soap and the Nxtzen coating. But Nxtzen is independent of THOR. Zizzer and kabita is there too. Again independent of THOR.

I'm not going back to watch the Wolfstar video again, but as I said in a previous post, his main gripe was that there were people on the THOR payroll, who were reviewing THOR and other products, without revealing that they were a paid promoter. He said that was against YouTube rules (besides being dishonest). THOR apparently agreed to annotate those videos appropriately, so Sheep's "demands" were satisfied so he closed the comments.

All the other stuff was just backstory about THOR, he said having ownership of multiple brands is fine, just be honest about what you are doing.

Yeah it’s a lot for a product but a 500ML bottle lasted me 5 years. Cost me 102.95 with tax and shipping. If I applied every month would probably last 4 years but let’s say 3. That’s $2.85 per month for great protection.

Yea I could probably get something that’s almost as good for $1 but my car, joy in applying is well worth it…

Yeah I was thinking they got those products from THOR but with them not carrying detail co or Clean I think it’s just quiver …. But who knows

I agree with your basic summary of his complaint but we will not know what was actually agreed since written in the cryptic mumbo jumbo. However, the video is still up and not sure what was in comments that were so bad to require removing them.

On YT, you often need to watch a commercial to watch what is essentially a commercial.

I have to vent.

The Comments sections was also locked when I watched the video. I can’t tell what was agreed to or agreed not to do and that’s fine. Sheepstar/Wolfstar kept repeating about being careful with what he said so he wouldn’t be sued. This is about making money. The longer you watch a video, the more the advertising time that channel gets, clicks, liking, subscribing, etc., it all adds up. And the influen$er gets to double dip, as they may also be getting paid for doing the advertisement under the guise of a “review” and/or paid straight out by the company they work for. I no longer care if an influen$er is being intellectually dishonest, lying or stupid, if they can’t be up front about how or who is paying for the “review,” then for me, that review is worth what I paid for it … nothing.

Seems like the detailing world is infested with “hype drops” in our now “drop culture” for brands and products. Every couple of weeks there is some new “game changing product” that’s hyped. The vids seem to all have the same script: “it smells fantastic,” “it’s super slick,” “absolute best,” “this is a game changer.” It doesn’t matter what product they are pushing, it’s all the same.

At the end of the day, I fall back to this: if you find a product that you like and it works for you, then go Mike Phillips on it, aka, and use the heck out of it.
