hello everyone im sean. i bought a 2008 ford focus about 10 months ago and when i bought it i didnt really know about swirl marks. after owning the car for a couple weeks and washing it a few times i noticed how awful the paint was and was pissed. tried getting the dealership to do somthing about the crazy swirl marks but as you know dealers suck. so about a week ago i saw mikes vids on youtube cuz i was looking up ways to make the paint look good and that was it. i already have a griots da polisher i have meguires compound and polish and griots paint sealant. very excited about making my paint look amazing. i washed claybarred the entire car today then i compounded the hood polished it and sealed it looks amazing only problem is it started raining so ill have to finish it another day..

all i have to say is woooow lol only thing is i need a better cutting pad to make lighter work of getting the swirls out:dblthumb2:

oh yea and thanks for the warm welcome

Welcome. Nice job so far. The ultimate compound might be a little easier with the orange pads. Either way its coming out really good.

thnx skate.. i worked the roof for about an hour to get these results a little much in my opinion lol.. so i just bought wolfgang swirl remover 3.0 1 yellow lake country pad and 2 orange lake country pads:xyxthumbs:yeeeeaaaaa buddy

Um...I think that Wolfgang swirl remover will have less cut than the Ultimate Compound you have been using. I doubt you will need the yellow pad, use the UC on the orange and follow with the WG on a white and you should be good.

o yea another question when i was compounding the roof i was getting little white balls my guess was its from the comopound drying is there a way to avoid this?

You were using too much or you weren't cleaning your pad (or changing to a fresh one).

i was prob using to much i deff wasent being shy with it..
