Tim I don't have microfiber pads. I have s flex and they don't post well together from what I here

Tom I don't have a flex........but I have 2 da's and a rortary.......and I have used both the megs and optimum pads on both. I am almost mf pad exclusive.

Yes I know something else to order but give them a shot......you will be amazed.

Love the optimum pads on the rotary and megs on the da.Between the 2 I can do just about anything.

I tried that mix just because and it has worked great.

D300/M205 for me. I've heard good things about PF2500 but haven't tried it yet.

I like carpro fixer. Takes on the properties of the pad your using. Finishes very well, and comes off easy.

If you want correction and a decent finish you really need some type of polish or AIO that corrects but then quickly breaks down into a finer polish.

For me, that is Meg's reconditioning cream. I know it's fairly popular, but I don't understand why it's not more popular. It's incredible if used correctly, especially in the professional detailing world.

You can do some pretty substantial correction with a mild cutting pad like the orange lake country pad and a rotary. Just ease off the pressure and/or speed after 3 or 4 passes and it finishes very well on a daily driver. I can fly through a car like this. Use product liberally and do hood in 3-4 sections, doors in 2, and deck lid in 2. Then lightly go around the lower panels. I've never had a customer complain. EVER!

If I get a car with really dull paint (usually from dealers) I'll use a wool pad and really lighten up towards the end of the polishing cycle. Won't Hologram the paint if done correctly. Will leave some swirls obiously, but it's been said a million times. Customers don't know a swirl from a squirrel. They see shiny paint. If they brought their car in scratched and dull, they will be super excited to see a shiny car after it's been corrected with a wool pad and reconditioning cream.

If you aren't getting $180 or more from a customer, never do more than a one step. You won't be sorry!

I charge $175 for a car with no correction. I have a gallon of recon cream but I hate the durability so I don't use it.

RhetoricMixes said he's trying out that Hyper Polish this weekend. If that does what they say it may be a good option. I've got some on the way to try.

Optimum Polish II new formula. It is coating ready with a damp MF!

Menzerna Power Finish 2500 for me. for a quick finish and if you are not going for that high correction rate to preserve the paint, this really works great!

pad dependent, and finishes very nicely!:xyxthumbs:

You guys should see what Ken aka 911Fanatic can do with Power Finish, you would swear he performed a 2-step and sometimes a 3-step. He is a master with it...well actually he is just a master at everything detailing related!

I have this but haven't used it. Do you find this finishes good enough on its own most of time, or do you need the Optimim Finishing Polish?

I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?igitww

It finishes very well on its own. I did a Honda Fit with only Optimum Polish II and white pads. It was pristine afterwards and I didnt need a solvent to prep for Opti Guard.
