What's your favorite two-step polishing combo?

Here the deal fellas! I'm looking for a product that will remove scratches and swirls (great cut) but is going to leave the finish looking close to gem, shinny as possible and ready for waxing. My customer base is not looking to pay me to polish their whole car after I removed the scratches and swirls. So I'm looking for the best one to accomplish this in a one step. Have some serious cutting power but finishes up like a final sweet polish. So, where do I need to be with a product.

Also I'll be using my Flex 3401 for correction work!
HD Adapt. Yes I'm a broken record. Your 3401 will power through even the toughest and worst of the worst with it and an orange pad. Finishes out perfectly.

I have heard FG400 can finish down in one step; not sure every time (being a compound) but there are posts in the forum with those claims and the marketing in the product description implies the same. For medium to light swirling SF4000/SF3800 is the direct flight to nirvana. I am a Menzerna fan. 3D HD products have me interested so may try them in the future. I have tried Megs 105/205 products and they never stand up to Menzerna on either hard or soft paint. It's not that they don't work; it just requires more energy and time; and always a second step in some fashion.
I Agree with you 100 percent. I have used FG400 on many black cars and didn't have to step down.
It finishes out nice. No haze. I dont know why but i am tempted to try some HD adapt because of some of the reviews here.lol

Griots Fast Correct cuts very nice and finishes great. Correcting cream might be a better one for you. I have not used that one though. Correcting cream should finish better yet, while still providing good cut. Like I said, have not used it.

Correcting cream is one of the best one steps that cuts and finishes excellent on the market.

You do however have to wax and seal after but putting wax or sealant on by machine takes how long ? So i love it

This should help you with that decision:

HD Adapt:

after

Meguairs D151 orange buff and shine pad
Hit the car 1 time for medium to light swirls. It's already waxed. Move onto the next vehicle.

In this day and age I can't see why people still want to 2 step when theres no reason to. Technology has come a long way regarding compounds but many are still stuck in the past, doing multiple steps to obtain results that can be had in one step. Spending 20 hours polishing paint doesn't prove you professionsal, on the contrary it proves you inefficient. Get with the times people, modern compounds and modern hard clear coats are here to stay.

What pads and polishes do you cut with ?

Microfiber? Or foam?

And what polish do you pair it with?

What is your go to compound and pad combo

When im removing heavier defects i love Flat Top with Griots microfiber, followed by HD polish on a white Foam pad. 1 steps are done using Menzerna 2500. I find i need to do a second step following a microfiber compound step

Sadly, D151 I have as well.... It did very well on a 2002 Hyundai Elantra hood. Too much energy again compared to Menzerna.

Can you please explain about the to much energy expended?
