What's your least favorite thing to do wile doing a detail?

Wheels, Tarminator (ing), claying.
The interior is the better half's department... but she's still in training so that usually pulls me off the exterior work to help her... ;-)

At least your better half is into detailing, mine doesn't understand at all.

i hate polishing the side panels, i tend to exert more effort holding the polisher correctly and making sure corrections are made versus doing the hood or roof.

I usually do not like the wheel area but mostly going back to fix spots I missed during the wash.

:cry:Pet hair and glass cleaning! I don't care to do either but it has to be done!

Crevices in the interior. I hate hate hate hate them! My shopvac doesn't have the tools to get into those super small areas. Like where the carpet hits the plastic kick plate. UGHHHH

Then pet hair :P

I absolutely hate interior glass cleaning and the worst of all of them is the rear window. I also hate the rear most side windows in SUV's.

A close second is the amount of time i spend on extracting everything out of the carpet material in the rear of SUV's.

Hey SKorch630, get yourself some a couple of stiff brushes that look kinda like big tooth brushes and agitate and vacuum. They are too stiff for anything but doing that and maybe tire or engine block cleaning. One has a low profile for sliding in and the other is more for working from above. Pumice stone helps a lot with the hair.

For me it is the windshield and sedan back glass. Never look forward to having to do it, but it's my last interior step and once it's done, so am I.

Glass (inside and outside) is the last step for me as well. What I do is spray the glass with a glass cleaner, wipe it, let it dry for a minute or so, then go back with a dry cloth and "buff" it Mr. Miyagi style...No streaks but a P.I.T.A. process! I agree with a lot of you saying pet hair and the carpeted wheel well liners..Although a lot of those aren't actually carpet..It's actually a plastic fiber material designed to help drown out noise ..I forgot one more P.I.T.A. item: I don't particularly care for scrubbing carpeted floor mats either. Wish all cars came standard with rubber mats or the Weather Tech style ones :P

The remediation of our vehicles' cabin-spaces
from the destructive forces caused by the
chemical compound 2-Nonenal!
