Boy that product had come a long way. I remember buying a dev licence to vmware workstation back in 2000 for $99 and beating the hell out of it with boot sector viruses. Now everything is virtualized with it.

Wow, I missed this thread. I am a Mechainical Engineer, working for Auto Indsutry making car parts for 20+ years. Managed all different types of prgrams and projects through the years. I help produce and maintain tooling and production lines for many of the OEM's, here is a short list of some of the oem parts I was very involved in:
4.6 & 5.4L Cam covers for Ford
'92-'98 Frod Mustng & Cobra hoods
Eclipse convertable top brackets for ASC
Neon & Cirrus/Breese Instrument panel support backets, sister company made IP top cover
Yukon/Surburban/Escalade & Denali Front & rear doors
Buick Lecerne & Cadillac DHS Door panels
Cadillac SRS carpets and couple others
Most recently Mercedes M-Class underbody shields, RT underbody shields, Jeep Grand Cherokee Underbody shileds.
Many new models for GM, Chrysler and Honda I can not disclose at this time.

I appreciate all the passion that goes into this online group, makes me feel good that there are people out there that appreciate the work that goes into their vehicles.:righton::)
 
I worked as a detailer for a company here and realized i didn't need him. Running my own shop now. Detalier for just at 6 years now and love it every morning when i go to work...

Man, you're fortunate to have that feeling. I like the people I work with, but if they didn't exist, I'd probably walk out in a heartbeat. I have way too many responsibilities to do that, though. But I'd be lying my arse off if I said that thought didn't go through my mind almost daily. In short, I'm overworked and way underpaid. Sometimes I wonder if I'll always be an hourly worker...

Only if you let yourself be, I know it's tough but save save SAVE! and eventually you can go out and start your own business.

Get rid of credit cards and debts, anything with high interest should go first and anything that compounds more frequently also has to go. Eat cheap, live cheap, buy cheap clothes, anything you can do to cut costs. Something that helped me was having a savinf

I'm currently a cashier and an engineering student. And starting my small interior detailing business on the side.
 
Stockbroker, and full time MBA student...and studying for my CFA.

And I own a black car :D

So my occupation is No Sleep.
 
Systems Support Technician for my local College. Basically a jack of all trades IT guy.
 
19, going on 20.. Discount tire, tire tech.. Pays well for what it is. Trying to kick start this detailing as a part time job

Don't know what I wanna study yet.. Something with animals and environment :)
 
I invest in real estate, but do detailing on the side. In between houses. Started as an automotive painter.
