Currently design tools for shaping/drawing(Pulling) aluminum for automotive and cosmetics. Last job was designing medical instruments for removing blood clots and stents.

Volunteer Firefighter when I leave my 9-5.

Basically a sterile carpenter or tailor depending on what I'm doing :)
@firefighter, I bet I used some of your devices in my general surgery training (we were heavy in peripheral vascular)...I've deployed my share of stents.
 
High school senior planning on becoming a master technician for BMW. Detailing helps me earn a little more cash when I'm not working at our local aftermarket performance shop as a technician.

Oh and I'd love to hear any tips or advice from people with automotive repair backgrounds that could help in the future. Thanks!
 
Executive Officer for an Advanced Individual Training (AIT) Company with a current strength of 436 Soldiers. Life is busy. :) My Soldiers are training for the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 25B, Information Technology Specialist.

Detailing is a side job, and pretty much only for paint correction. I don't have the time\inclination to mess with production detailing.

I take it that you are at Fort Gordon? I work for a military contractor at the (STC) Sustainment Training Center at Camp Dodge, Iowa. I instruct courses in Fuel and Hydraulics and Brake and Axles to 92B, Army National Guard Wheeled Vehicle Mechanics that are full time Federal Techs.

Sure am. Been here since January, trying to decide if I want to take a TRADOC Command before the Captain's Career Course. I change my mind every other day.
