Wheel Cleaner - Looking for Recommendation

I have 2 cars with Brembos and have been able to use soapy water, an apc, or an orange oil degreaser in the past. They all require agitation or some work with a dedicated mitt as does GG HD. One set of wheels is polished clear coat and the other are powdercoated, but were painted before. Once you clean them well recoat the wheels. A good coating or even the armorall spray on wheel protector helps reduce build up and eases cleaning. Brembo pads just dust bad. I only use soapy water after coating, but I'm not on Brembo pads anymore either.

What are your brembo's on? I'd suggest switching pads as soon as practical if you can't handle the dust. Thats the best fix.

It's on an SRT Jeep Grand Cherokee. As soon as the pads wear out im swapping to ceramics.

I had ceramics. Initial bite decreased dramatically and the were prone to fade. I switched to Hawk 5.0's. Close to stock feel with much less dust.

For you guys that wash your wheels with just soap & water: How exactly do you go about it? Do you have a dedicated bucket & wash mitt? Bucket & brushes? Soap in a spray bottle then brush the wheels clean?

Applied about 6 months ago - I just try to do my washes touch less - given both paint and wheels are coated. Most cleaners get close but Brembos are NASTY! I'm not sure you've had the pleasure... But it's not.

Hawk is the only manufacturer which makes the right size for my beast. Been debating between the ceramics, 5.0 or the HPS. What made you choose the 5.0s?

@LaFawnduh. Go to youtube and search Brown Royal wheel cleaner.
Horse--->Water.

I have a dedicated wheel bucket w/wheel woolies, lug nut brush and a microfiber wash mitt. I use Optimum car wash in the bucket and do a normal wash. I wash my wheels so often that's all I ever really need.

Dedicated bucket, wheel woolies for the barrels of the wheels, a boars hair brush for the face of the wheels, a mothers wheel brush for the coated tires and a lug nut brush.

I used to have hawk pads and they dusted quite a bit. I ended up coating my wheels and soap and water was all that I needed if I was doing a bucket wash. I would pre soak the wheels with Meguiar's D114 and rinseless with D114 and dedicated wheel towels and a lug nut brush if I needed it. Both options worked well.

I have since changed the pads for low dusting pads and re coated my wheels.

It was the more agressive of the street pads. I read many reviews and took a chance. It was hetween them and ebc red stuff.

There is a thread on a ctsv forum where guys are running '12-'16 brembo srt8 jeep pads. They're cheaper and said to dust less than our stock Ferrodo HP1000 and the ac delcos that don't perform as well. If thats the case, it would be something to check out because that would open your choices to 09-15 CTS-V and zl1 selections.

Wheel brushes and a dedicated sponge and mitt. Soapy water is dispensed via a foam gun. I use it to rise, or I'll use a bucket of water.

Ordered Wolfgang and Brown Royal. Will test them both out. Thanks for the recommendations.
