Ive got a new car coming with CCB's (Carbon Ceramic Brakes). Typically Hyrdo2 or Permanon has been my solution for wheel protection. But because of the CCB's I can no longer use a spray and rinse coating on them. Which kind of sucks...

I'm gonna have to pull the wheels and coat in the traditional way. wipe on, wipe off. I used Opti-Coat 2.0 for the wheels on my old car. And I personally was never good at applying that stuff with ease. I was thinking of Gloss-Coat but I want to see some reviews first.

That leaves me with a few options :

Cquartz
Cquarts UK
Cquarts DLUX
GTech C5 Wheel Armor
GTech EXO

I know Pinnacle Black Label and DP offer wheel coatings as well but I cant find any follow up reviews regarding durability of these 2 products. I know they are simple to apply, but how effective are they over the long haul ??

I'm looking for advice from members that have used any of the products I listed above. What do you you think I should go with ? Supposedly CCB's are supposed to produce less brake dust but I still want the wheels to be coated so I can avoid using potent cleaners on the wheels (again because of these damn CCB's).

I would like to hear some opinions from some members who have experience using wheel coatings. Thanks in advance !Feed back please

As far as DP wheel coating (can't speak for PBL wheel coating) I have had it on my wheels for 7-8 months so far on my DD and it still beads great.

I love it and I have no reason to try anything "better" or different.

I've used PBL Surface Coating on wheels for the last 6 months or so. It really makes it easier to keep the wheels clean. Nothing sticks to it!

I've only had it on for 6 months so it isn't much of a test in longevity, but it is still going fine today.

I used PBL wheel coating for about 6 months on chrome till it started to fade. I currently have UK applied - night and day difference imo and they remain bright in between washes. Cleaning is such a breeze!

I've used DLux with good success.
I think everyone has said different things. None of those choices are going to disappoint you.

thanks all.

i think ive narrowed it down to CQUK or CQDlux. is DLUX more durable on wheels ?

I believe DLUX says durability is up to a year. CQUK is 2 years IIRC.

Why no Hydro2 or Permanon on carbon ceramic?

The 1st time you touch the brakes, the coating is gone

I like 22 PLE VM1 rim and metal coating.

Heard good things about Kamikaze ISM too.
